Casino-themed evenings · Australia

The glamour of the table.None of the gambling.

Gatsby Nights builds casino-themed offline events for grown-up rooms — roulette, blackjack, poker-themed dinners and a retro slots lounge, all played with symbolic chips and points. Your guests chase the drama of the felt, not money.

  • 350Guests in one room
  • 6 hrsMaximum programme
  • 18+Adults only, always

What the evening actually is

A supper-club floor, staged in your venue for one night

We arrive with full-size tables, brass-trimmed wheels, card shoes, cabinet props, lighting and a crew of professional croupiers and hosts. Your room becomes a 1920s-flavoured gaming salon for an evening and goes back to normal before breakfast.

Every guest is handed the same stack of symbolic chips on arrival. Nobody buys in, nobody tops up, and nothing converts back into money at the end. The scoreboard is a leaderboard, the reward is a trophy, a dinner upgrade or whatever prize you choose to put on the table yourself — never cash.

  • Full-size roulette, blackjack and poker-themed tables
  • Retro slots and pokies-styled cabinet props, non-payout
  • Croupiers who teach first-timers in ninety seconds
  • Branded chips, cards, signage and a photo zone
  • Floor plans drawn to your venue's real dimensions
  • Set-up, hosting and pack-down by one crew

Running order

How a Gatsby Nights night unfolds

A typical six-hour build, adapted to your venue's access times and your run sheet. Shorter programmes are common and cost less crew time.

We send this as a written run sheet before the event so your venue, caterer and AV supplier all work from the same timeline.

  1. Three hours before doors

    Load-in and build

Tables, cabinet props, lighting and signage are carried in, levelled and dressed. Our crew works to the venue's bump-in rules.

  2. Doors

    Welcome and chip issue

Every guest is checked as an adult 18+ and handed an identical stack of symbolic chips. No purchases, no top-ups.

  3. First hour

    Lessons on the felt

Croupiers teach the basics table by table. Complete beginners are playing confidently inside two minutes.

  4. Middle of the night

    Open floor and slots lounge

Tables run freely, the retro slots lounge fills up, the photo zone gets busy and the host keeps the leaderboard moving.

  5. Final 45 minutes

    Leaderboard and presentation

Chips are counted into points, the host runs a short presentation and you award the non-cash prize you have chosen.

  6. After the last guest

    Strike and sign-off

The set comes down, the room is returned as found and a producer signs off with your venue contact.

Guest favourite

The retro slots lounge

Our most photographed corner. A row of vintage-styled slot machines and pokies-look cabinets, restored as decorative props, lined up under brass sconces.

Each cabinet runs on symbolic credits issued with your guest's chip stack. Pull the lever, watch the reels, add the result to your leaderboard total. There is no coin slot, no note acceptor, no payout tray and nothing to cash in — the cabinets are theatre and photography, not gaming machines.

  • Six cabinet styles, from fruit-reel classics to deco mirror fronts
  • Symbolic credits only — no stakes, no payouts, no cash value
  • Works as a photo zone, a queue-breaker and a leaderboard feeder
  • Pairs naturally with roulette and blackjack table entertainment

Client feedback

What organisers tell us afterwards

Shared with permission and kept anonymous at our clients' request.

Half the room had never touched a roulette table. Twenty minutes in, the finance team was teaching the graduates. It did more for cross-team conversation than the last three workshops.

Corporate year-end function, 220 guests
The slots lounge was the surprise. Everyone queued for photos at the old cabinets, and my parents' friends stayed two hours longer than anyone expected.
Host · Premium milestone birthday
Private party, 90 guests
We sub-contract the gaming floor and keep the catering. Their run sheets arrive early and the crew bumps out quietly, which is why they are on our preferred list.
