Responsible Entertainment Notice

Last updated 9 October 2026 · Gatsby Nights, Australia

This is strictly offline event entertainment. There is no real-money gambling, no betting, no cash prizes, and no online casino service.

1. We do not provide gambling services

Gatsby Nights is an event company. Our service is the organisation of casino-themed offline events in Australia. We do not hold, seek or operate under any gambling authorisation, because our events do not involve gambling.

Specifically, we do not provide:

real-money gambling in any form;
wagering, staking or betting;
cash prizes or prizes with monetary value provided by us;
online casino services, platforms, applications or websites;
any means for a guest to pay money at an event, or to receive money from one;
any exchange of chips, credits or points for money, goods or services.

2. Our events are offline

Everything we do happens in a physical room at a physical venue, in front of a crew who are present throughout. There is no website, application or account through which any part of our entertainment can be accessed. This website exists only to describe the service and to receive enquiries.

3. Adults only — 18+

Our programmes are for adult guests aged 18+, which is the adult age throughout Australia. This applies to every element of an event, including table entertainment, the retro slots lounge and the photo set.

Minors are not permitted to take part in any part of our themed programmes.
Our crew may decline to issue chips or credits to, or permit participation by, anyone who cannot be confirmed as an adult guest.
The adults-only condition is written into every booking rather than assumed.
We do not market to, or depict, anyone under the age of 18.
Where a function includes guests under 18, the gaming floor is held in a separate area or scheduled outside their attendance.

4. Symbolic chips and credits only

Every adult guest receives an identical stack of symbolic chips, and where the slots lounge is present a matching allocation of symbolic credits, free of charge at the door.

They carry no denomination and no monetary value.
They cannot be bought, topped up, sold, transferred for value or redeemed.
They exist to move a position on a leaderboard, and they expire with the evening.
No money is handled on the gaming floor at any point.

Our retro slot machine and pokies-styled cabinets are decorative props. The coin head is blanked, the note path is removed, and there is no hopper, payout tray or ticket printer. They cannot accept money and they cannot pay anything out.

5. Prizes

Where a prize is awarded, it is chosen and presented by our client — a trophy, a keepsake chip set, an experience, a team reward. We do not provide cash prizes, and our Terms and Conditions require that cash or a cash equivalent is not used as a prize at an event we host or staff.

6. If gambling has been a problem for you

We want to be straightforward about this. Although our events involve no money, no stakes and no payouts, a casino-styled room can still feel familiar to someone who has experienced gambling-related harm. The visual cues — a wheel, a card shoe, a reel, the sound of chips — are deliberately evocative.

If gambling has caused you or someone close to you difficulty, we suggest not taking part in a casino-style themed event, even one without stakes. There is no obligation to play at any of our events. Our hosts are briefed never to pressure a guest, and we always recommend to clients that seating away from the floor is available for guests who would rather watch or simply talk.

If you are organising an event and this is a concern for someone on your guest list, tell your producer. We will plan the room so that nobody has to explain themselves in order to opt out.

7. General support information

The following services are listed as neutral, general information for anyone in Australia who wants support with gambling-related harm. We are not affiliated with, partnered with, endorsed by or connected to these services in any way, and we receive nothing from listing them.
