The three tables

Pick your felt

Most evenings run two or three table types side by side, because they suit different temperaments. A planning rule of thumb: one table per 18–25 guests.

Loudest

Roulette table entertainment

The crowd-puller. Twelve to sixteen people can stand around one wheel, and the whole group reacts to a single spin, which makes it the best table for a room that needs breaking open.

  • Full-size wheel and layout, brass trim
  • Learned in about sixty seconds
  • Best for arrival hours and large floors
  • Capacity 12–16 standing per table

Friendliest

Blackjack table entertainment

Seven seats, one dealer, constant conversation. The decisions are small and frequent, so strangers end up advising each other within minutes.

  • Seven-seat full-size layout
  • Dealer teaches basic strategy as play runs
  • Best for mixing teams and family groups
  • Capacity 7 seated, plus onlookers

Longest

Poker-themed dinner

A slow format designed to run between courses. Eight to ten guests at an oval, playing for leaderboard points across the evening rather than in one burst.

  • Oval table, cloth and dealer position
  • Simplified house rules for mixed ability
  • Best for seated dinners and board nights
  • Capacity 8–10 seated per table

This is strictly offline event entertainment. There is no real-money gambling, no betting, no cash prizes, and no online casino service. Chips used at these tables are symbolic, issued free of charge and cannot be purchased, topped up or redeemed.

The crew

Croupiers who teach, not just deal

A table is only as good as the person running it. We hire for temperament first and train the mechanics second, because the skill that matters at a themed event is making a nervous beginner feel competent in under two minutes.

  • Every croupier runs a scripted thirty-second lesson at the top of each table rotation.
  • Plain-English rules cards sit on the felt so no one has to ask twice.
  • Crew are briefed never to encourage competitive pressure between guests.
  • Dress code matched to your event: black tie, waistcoats or venue uniform.
  • Hosts and croupiers can also be hired for an event you are producing yourself — see mobile hire.

Scoring

How a leaderboard works without money

This is the part organisers want to understand, so here it is in full.

  1. Step one

    Identical stacks

Every adult guest receives the same stack of symbolic chips at the door, free of charge. There is no buy-in, no purchase and no top-up at any point in the evening.

  2. Step two

    Play for position

Chips move across the felt as play runs. They are scoring tokens: they have no denomination printed on them and no monetary value at any stage.

  3. Step three

    Count into points

In the last half hour, each guest's chips are counted into leaderboard points. Results from the retro slots lounge fold into the same total.

  4. Step four

    Present a non-cash award

The host runs a short presentation and you award the prize you have chosen — a trophy, an experience, a keepsake. We never provide cash prizes, and chips are never exchanged for money.

Planning

Working out how many tables you need

The honest answer is that it depends on whether people are seated for dinner at the same time. Use these as starting points and your producer will refine them against your run sheet.

  • 60guests: 3 tables, or 2 plus a slots lounge
  • 120guests: 5–6 tables plus a slots row
  • 220guests: 8–10 tables across two zones
  • 350guests: 12–14 tables, three zones, two hosts
Good to know

Space and access per table

  • Roulette: 2.4 × 1.2 m table, plus 1 m standing room on three sides.
  • Blackjack: 1.8 × 1.1 m table, plus seating for seven.
  • Poker-themed: 2.2 × 1.1 m oval, plus seating for ten.
  • Access: components pass through 800 mm doorways and fit a standard goods lift.
  • Bump-in: allow about three hours for a full floor, ninety minutes for two tables.
